About Section
The About block introduces your business, your story, your skills or your team. It builds trust by telling visitors who you are.
Purpose
Use an About block to:
- Tell your story and mission.
- Show skills, stats or a checklist of what you offer.
- Present a tabbed overview, a quote, or a process/commitment statement.
It usually sits just below the Hero.
Available layouts
The About block has 13 layouts:

| Process Commitment | A commitment/process statement (supports dark mode). |
| Consulting Split | Split layout for consulting (two variations). |
Field reference
Fields vary by layout. The most common:
Content

Skills (Portfolio Skills layout)
A repeater of skills: skill name and percentage (shown as a progress bar). A preset list is available.
Tabs (Consulting Tabbed layout)
A repeater of tabs: tab label, two paragraphs, a CTA text/link, and tab images.
Checklist
Checklist title, a CTA, and repeatable checklist items (each a line of text).
Stats / counters
Stat value, suffix (e.g. "+", "%"), and label — animated numbers.
Feature items
A repeater of features: title and description (with optional preset icons).
Rating / quote
Rating score, review count, label, star count, plus a quote, author name and author role.
Buttons & style
- CTA text / secondary text / link / style.
- Padding top/bottom, container width, background color class, font family, and a decorative shape toggle.
- Full button styling (radius, padding, typography, shadow, hover) on supporting layouts.
- Theme (dark/light) on the Process Commitment layout.
Images
Several image fields (with optional parallax speed) for the layout's visuals.
Best practices
- Lead with the benefit, not just history. Tell visitors how you help them.
- Use stats (years in business, projects done, clients served) — they're persuasive and quick to read.
- Keep paragraphs short. Two or three sentences max per block of text.
- Add a CTA so the section leads somewhere (e.g. "Learn more" → About page).

Troubleshooting & common mistakes

|---|---|
| Stats don't animate | Animation level may be set to None in the Customizer; set to Full. |
| Skill bars empty | Set a percentage value for each skill. |
| Tabs not switching | Ensure each tab has a label; save the block. |
| Image misaligned | Use the recommended image proportions for the layout. |
Common mistakes: writing a long wall of text, omitting a CTA, leaving stat values blank.
