Updating uLanding

Keep uLanding up to date to receive new themes, widget layouts, security fixes, and compatibility with the latest Ultimate SMS releases.

Before you update

Always take a backup first:

  1. Database — export a full MySQL / MariaDB dump.
  2. Files — back up packages/codeglen/ulanding/ and your storage/ folder (uploaded media and demo assets).
  3. Note your version — check Plugins → All Plugins for the current uLanding version.
  4. Confirm Ultimate SMS version — the new uLanding package requires Ultimate SMS 3.6.0+ (and may require a newer host version — check the package app_version).

Warning Never overwrite a production site without a restore point. Plugin updates can run migrations that change the database schema.

  1. Download the latest uLanding ZIP from your Envato purchases.
  2. Log in to Ultimate SMS admin.
  3. Go to Plugins → All Plugins.
  4. On the uLanding card, click Update (or use Add Plugin and upload the new ZIP if your host workflow prefers a re-upload).
  5. Enter / confirm your purchase code when prompted.
  6. Wait until the installer finishes migrations and publishes assets.
  7. Confirm the card shows the new version and status Active.

What the updater does for you

  • Replaces plugin files under packages/codeglen/ulanding/
  • Re-runs package migrations when needed
  • Re-publishes plugin assets / config tags
  • Keeps your content (pages, blogs, services, customizer settings) in the database

Manual update (developers)

If the UI updater is unavailable:

# 1. Put the new package files in place
# 2. From the Ultimate SMS project root:
composer dump-autoload
php artisan vendor:publish --tag=plugin --force
php artisan migrate
php artisan optimize:clear

Then open Plugins → All Plugins and confirm the version badge.

After updating — verify

Check Expected result
Plugin card New version number, Active
Admin menus ULANDING PRO menus still visible
Themes All themes still listed; active theme unchanged
Customizer Colors / logos still present
Public site Homepage and key pages render without errors
Page Builder Existing sections still editable

Tip Soft-refresh the browser (and clear application cache if something looks stale). Theme CSS is cached and regenerates after Customizer / theme saves.

If something goes wrong

  1. Restore your database and packages/codeglen/ulanding/ from backup.
  2. Clear caches: php artisan optimize:clear.
  3. Re-enable the plugin from All Plugins.
  4. See Troubleshooting or open a Support ticket with your Ultimate SMS version, uLanding version, and the exact error message.
